1. Crockett’s Breakfast Camp

The name honors David C. “Crockett” Maples. He was well-known in his community and wore many hats, including frontiersman, soldier, and beloved family man. There is a statue of David C. Maples right outside the restaurant. Take a look before you go in. As for food, eat your favorite Southern comfort dishes in a rustic but cozy cabin atmosphere. Some great dishes on their menu include griddle cakes and cinnamon rolls. You can also get an omelet or breakfast burrito if you want a savory meal. Whatever you get, wash it down with a cold or hot drink like orange juice or coffee.

2. Crystelle Creek

For dinner later in the day, go to Crystelle Creek. It is a steakhouse in Gatlinburg that is another one of the unique restaurants in the area. You should definitely try one of their steaks. The meat is aged to perfection and then hand-cut. Get broccoli or a baked potato on the side. Their menu has an excellent selection of pasta and salads as well. Adult guests can get a cocktail with their meal. Their bar menu has classic drinks, including a regular margarita. If you’re feeling adventurous, they also have unique creations made with local Ole Smoky Moonshine. Try a Pickle Bloody Mary or a Blackberry Lemonade!

3. Frizzle Chicken Cafe

Pigeon Forge has unique restaurants as well, one of which is Frizzle Chicken Cafe. The menu has lunch and dinner dishes that everyone will love. Get a plate of chicken and waffles for breakfast and a chuckwagon steak sandwich with fries for lunch. While you eat, take in the fun atmosphere. There are more than 100 singing animatronic chickens around the restaurant. They may sing a song to you as you eat.

4. Local Goat

Local Goat in Pigeon ForgeLocal Goat is another one of the unique restaurants in Pigeon Forge. It is a great place to get lunch or dinner. Get the teriyaki kabob or lamb burger for lunch. If you come later in the day, order the bison meatloaf. There is no wrong choice, as everything is made from fresh local ingredients. Enjoy the scenery while you eat. The walls of the dining room are adorned with paintings from local artists while you can see views of Mount LeConte outside. It is the third-highest peak of the Smokies!
